Wow I'm actually back after 7 months! If you're shock that I'm here right now, don't be. Because I'm just as shocked as you!
Let me take a deep breath before i start. Fuh, thats better. I FINALLY WENT TO SOUTH KOREA A.K.A THE LAND OF OPPA
![]()
Sad news, i didn't even bump into 2pm or any of your oppars. lol. But thats okay, i still had a lot of fun while travelling in Korea with my fam for a week. On that day when i arrived, it was actually the day of 2PM x HOTTEST 6th fan meeting which I was not able to attend (duh) ha ha ha *internally crying* also, that night Taecyeon flew to Bolivia :') I'm okay guys
![]()
In this post, I will be sharing about the things i did and the things that happened throughout my trip to Korea and continue to babble. So if you guys want to know about the planning thingy or how to go to a certain place, my actual itinerary and all that, see you in my next post! (InsyaAllah kalau rajin) (ni bukan halau tau hahaha)
*Warning : It's going to be a long long post*
DAY 1
We all woke up around 330 or 4 in the morning to get ready and went to KLIA2 by taxi. Around 545 a.m we were already at the airport to check in our bags, eat breakfast and perform Subuh prayer before departing to South Korea at 730 a.m. After 6 hours and 20 min of flying we finally arrived in South Korea! Phew that was a long one. Semua orang buat taik mata je lah dalam kapal terbang. We were planning to solat Asar-Zohor at the ICN airport but the prayer room is actually inside (Near Caffe Bene, Gate 24) but we were already outside. So, instead of taking a bus we quickly took taxi to Han River Guesthouse which is around 1 hour from Incheon International Airport as we were in a hurry. And Maghrib here is around 530 p.m. That is why! The taxi cost us 79,000 won which is relevant to RM300! Das expensive :') (Unless if you are from the US, you might find the taxi fare here cheap)
Anyway, let me tell you a little bit about the first guesthouse I stayed at. I swear Han River Guesthouse is the cutest thing ever! Ever! Everything is so cute and so pretty and so well decorated (TuT) The owner and the staffs do speak english, so yeah! Everything is under control lol. They have the common room where you can play games, try on hanbok for free and for you to eat breakfast in the morning (Starting from 8 a.m) Our room is like a small-cutie-cozy apartment with 1 huge bed, 2 single beds, 1 bunk bed, a bathroom and a small kitchen-space. They provide towels (small ones) Keep in mind that you cannot cover your whole body with it like you usually do at home. Lap satu badan dalam bilik air masih boleh hahaha.
At night, we went to Itaewon for dinner. Ingatkan nak pergi makan Murree Muslim Food yg famous dalam kalangan Malaysian Bloggers tapi tak jumpa pulak huhu. While walking as well as hunting for food, we met some friendly Malaysian guys! Not sure if they are actually studying here in Korea or just travelling but they were like "HI ORANG MALAYSIA! *waves*" Ha comelkan orang Malaysia macam ni? XD Anyway, it was raining and we were already starving so we decided to eat at Mr. Kebab. Worth it! Ada nasi dalam kebab hahahaha. Mr. Kebab is actually one of the recommended food to eat when you're in Itaewon so its all cool, we'll see you next time Murree Muslim Food.
We had to 'climb' the road in order to go back to Han River Guesthouse. Basically its just one steepy small road. I just cannot imagine if we didn't take the taxi and had to drag our luggage all the way up omg. Btw, you can see a LOT of Jeon Ji Hyun at that area near Han River Guesthouse hahahaha. I love how its like a small area with restaurants, small food stores and convenient stores and you can just walk around and all that. Eh tapi bukan jalan2 nak makan halal tau kat situ hahaha.
DAY 2
Today is my day because I'm finally going to ride that insanely awesome+scary rollercoaster at Everland! The one that Jaesuk rode MUHAHAHA. We woke up early that morning so that we can arrive early at Everland plus it will take us a long time before arriving as it is kinda far from the area we stayed at. Yes, 2 hours ++. We got off at Chungjeongno station but this Korean guy told us to get off at another stop which is the Gwanghwamun Station. So we did but we had trouble finding the bus stop because theres too many of them. And the clock just keeps ticking. Terbazir masa banyak sikit kat situ
I got so excited when I saw the bus coming so I just quickly hop on it. Eventually the bus arrived at the last station but it was obviously not our station I was like "what just happened ._." I asked the bus driver and he told me that we were supposed to go to the opposite way! Thank god he was nice enough to transfer us to another bus with the same number (471) that is going to the opposite way. The 2nd bus driver ahjussi was so friendly (although he can't speak english), he was trying to explain to us (by acting XD) that we don't have to touch/scan our t-money when we get off at our station. After another 50 minutes of travelling by bus we arrived at Gangnam station, transfer to another bus and off we go to Everland! Phew! We ended up arriving late at Everland and the weather was not that great as it was cloudy.
We decided to perform our prayer first before playing around and all that. Guess what happened? The prayer room was locked and the staff said that they open it only on weekends. I was like "o.....kay" and I just proceeded to the washroom to take my wudhu first. I can't think of any place to pray as the ground was all wet because of the rain (duh) I bumped into a fellow Malaysian who just came into the washroom and asked her "Solat kat mana?" and she said that the prayer room was already open. Alhamdulillah (T^T) After solat, I was so hyped up because I love love love amusement park (and obviously i got excited when i saw people screaming while riding that rollercoaster lol)
90 minutes of standing and waiting in line and finally the time has come *insert some real cool bgm* Betul lah Akbar Azman kata cedok simbah hahahahahaha. Dengan itu terpisah lah soul dari badan saya lol. I really want to ride it for the second time but man I just cannot lah with the queue. My sister & I just played around by ourselves after that, while my parents and my younger sister and brother went to Zootopia. We're too cool for that hahahaha no lah we were really just into the crazy rides and T-express is our main goal. Around 730 to 8 p.m we hop on the shuttle bus and went back to Han river guesthouse by subway.
Say goodbye to the city life! Chop chop! Off we go to Sokcho
Sokcho might not be as famous as Jejudo but I personally think it is one of the must-go-place to enjoy nature! (if you're not planning to go to Jejudo) Tourists usually come to Sokcho to visit one of Korea's most beautiful mountain which is the Seoraksan Mountain. (so do i ^o^)
Its a 3 hour bus ride from Dong Seoul Bus Terminal. Even the view from inside the bus is already beautiful. So yeah, don't sleep all the way to Sokcho okay! You should take some time to sleep/rest but also take some to enjoy the view. The weather that morning was really great but it started raining in Sokcho when we were on our way to Mount. Sorak :') Basically, it was really just a rainy week in Korea at that moment. We were a little bit "off timing" that day but our journey was still smooth.
In Sokcho, we stayed at The House Hostel which is near to the bus terminal. I gotta say that this place is cute too omg >< WHY IS EVERYTHING IN KOREA SO CUTE
But Han River Guesthouse is still the cutest.
We put all our luggage inside and we immediately went to Mount. Sorak. Subhanallah the view around Mount. Sorak was magnificent #I♡Nature After taking some snaps we bought some roasted corns and took the cable car up the mountain although it was kind of foggy at that time. We just had to ._. Despite the fog and the cold weather we still manage to climbed up to the peak! Yay us! Rasa macam dah berjaya hahahaha.
*Btw, the roasted corns here in Korea is different from Malaysia. Macam nasi sikit pun ada lol. Regardless, food always taste good when you're hungry
By the time we went down, the fog was gone. Ish sampai hati dia buat kita mcm ni (v_v) Before going back to the House Hostel, we just kind of enjoy the nature and took tons of wefies and pictures. I even took one with an ahjussi inside the cable car lol. My korean is limited & the ahjussi does not speak english either but we had a good conversation hahaha. On our way back to the House Hostel, we met some friendly Indonesians in the bus. I was not sure where we should get off and I asked them and thats basically how we became 'friends'. lol. They were staying at the same place as us so we just followed them. What a coincidence right!
That night, me, my mom & my sister went
![]()
My mom sampai harini geram tak dapat makan udang tu walaupun ada beli yg lain masa kat Myeongdong hahahaha. Udang tak se-real kat Sokcho katanya.
DAY 4
Still here in Sokcho! Early in the morning after having breakfast at the House Hostel, we went to Abai Village. It was so so so cold that day and it was also raining too. Therefore, its extra cold! Seoul is really not as cold as Sokcho tho. We just went on and walk for a good 10 to 13 minutes maybe and hop on the GaetBae Boat in order to cross the small river, to Abai village. It was still early, even i was still looking sleepy. So yeah it was really just us there........and Ojingeo Sundae everywhere hahaha. We went to the beach because it was near there (duh) and the wind was blowing like crazy. 2 lighthouses (the white one & the red one) can actually be seen from the beach but the red one is kinda far away from there.
Lol back to the story! We quickly went back to our hostel to pack our stuff as we need to catch up the bus to Nami Island at 11 a.m. Yay!!!! To Nami Island we go~ The fellow Indonesians I met yesterday were planning to go to Nami Island too that day hahaha so we basically just travelled together. Right after arriving at Nami Island, we went to a nearby restaurant to fill our stomachs up after a 3 hour journey. We had dakgalbi for lunch.
GUESS WHAT I SAW NEAR THE DOCK TO NAMI ISLAND? A 55 meter jumping tower! Bungee Jump guys OMG *internally screaming* I had no idea there was a bungee jumping site at Nami Island here in Korea. I thought they only have it at Cheongpung Land & Yuldong Park which is far far away. Bungee jumping is like one of the things that I wanted to do in my life for at least once oh gosh. I was so freaking excited and was really looking forward to it tbh ![]() But of course, we all went to Nami Island first by ferry. The ferry ride took us about 5 minutes. Another way to go right to Nami Island is by taking the zip lining (flying fox) which is awesome but it is way more expensive than taking a ferry :') It sounds like a lot and a lot and a lot of fun (T^T) but gotta save some for shopping right? Basically we just took a stroll along the coastline as well as a bunch of photos hahaha. Banyak gila rakyat Malaysia kat sini lol. I was taking a picture at the location of the first kiss scene in the drama Winter Sonata and a guy who was passing by said "Winter Sonata ni zaman korang ke? XD" hahahahaha
It was already 5 p.m when we arrived back at the wharf entrance. *insert sad bgm* My parents didn't let me do bungee jumping ![]() ![]() <--- me. They said it was already late and we needed to hurry up I was as sad as a child who was not allowed to eat any sweets & candies. Imagine that, kids!!! lolSo yeah we proceeded to our third 'home' in Yongsan-gu, South Korea. This time, its an apartment. Not as cute but still comfy enough :3 DAY 5 Moving on! The next morning we went to Gyeongbokgung Palace. The weather was perfect, i loved it We were already late for The Gate Guard Changing Ceremony so we had to wait until 1 p.m to see it but we were on time for the free English tour at 11 a.m. ^^ Thank goodness! So we waited for the tour guide and followed her as she showed us around the palace. Rather than walking aimlessly around the palace, its good to have the tour guide if you are actually interested in knowing more about their history and all that :DA lot of people were wearing hanbok! Girls mostly. I also noticed that they all were carrying a small cutie pouch with them. But really, local guys in hanbok was nowhere to be seen lol. Anyway, after the 45 minutes tour, we walked around some more to kill some time as we we waited for the guard changing ceremony.
THE GATE GUARD CHANGING CEREMONY
Next stop ; Myeongdong! One of Seoul's most popular attraction. To me, its a cosmetics heaven
Tony Moly, Face Shop, Nature Republic, Etude House, Holika Holika, Aritaum, Skin Food, Innisfree, you name it! Of course, you can also shop for clothes too, here in Myeongdong. A huge Uniqlo & FOREVER 21 store awaits you XD I came here for their amazing skincare products muhahah! I mean, look at their flawless skin! I was also 'hunting' for hotteok but I can't seem to find them
The place is overloaded with cuteness and fluffiness >< The cats there are sooooOOoo fat and fluffy (qualified to be my pillow lol) But you gotta pay 8000 won to meet all these fatty cats!
You have to buy something in order for you to get free samples. The more you buy, the more free samples you will get. But there was actually one shop that gave out their samples for FREE. And that FREE equals to you going into the shop without having to buy anything. I forgot to mention how the Myeongdong & Gangnam subway station is like a shopping complex! We were supposed to go to Namdaemun Market right after Myeongdong, and Namsan Tower that night but sometimes things doesn't go as planned XD So we went back to our apartment to perform our prayers and right after nightfall, me, my sister & my mom went out to shop some more (duh) We went to Namdaemun Market to buy some souvenirs for us to bring home. Theres a lot of kpop stores too here at Namdaemun. I even met a korean guy, a salesperson that speaks Malay! Terkejut tak? Hahahaha. He was like "Beli lah~beli lah~~" XD If you guys are planning to buy t-shirts, I recommend you guys to buy from him. 3 for 10,000 won👍 It was almost 830 p.m but we decided to go back to Myeongdong because Myeongdong is love (lol) although the salesperson at Namdaemun said that Myeongdong closes at 9 p.m. Tak puas tadi kat Myeongdong!
Thank you dear feet, for holding on & staying strong :') We shop till we drop! It was 10 p.m but Myeongdong was still packed! Saram everywhere! I'm wowed
Even if you don't really shop for cosmetics back in your country, you're still going to end up buying it at Myeongdong hahaha. Can't resist! My mom tanya kat orang2 Malaysia yg tgh beli pastu diorang semua mcm "We all tak beli pun benda ni kalau kat Malaysia" XD
Its a museum kind of day! We decided to bring my dad to The War Memorial of Korea because thats just his kind of 'entertainment'. Army related things ( ・ิω・ิ) Too bad we did not manage to visit the whole museum as we were planning to visit Seoul Central Masjid in Itaewon that afternoon for Friday prayer.
![]() Not forgetting the steep road at Itaewon too, especially on the way to the mosque lol. Right after Friday prayer, we went to eat lunch at Murree Muslim Food :D So many people in the restaurant yet all of them are Malays! XD I think Murree Muslim Food need to enlarge their restaurant haha. Overall, the food was delicious! Definitely recommended! They do serve traditional korean food, still in "korean way" but not so much.
We proceeded to the subway station and went to Seoul Trick Eye Museum. Yay! I was excited at first but then after walking for a loooong time I was kinda exhausted resulting in the decrease of the level of my excitement lol. Not gonna lie, it was hard to find the museum XD I noticed how parents/adults don't really go in there hahahah. Most of them stayed out, waiting for their kids lol. The situation inside the trick eye museum was a little bit insane (bearable XD) with lots and lots of excited human beings. But it was still fun, posing for the camera to take the perfect photos so that it come out nicely hahaha. The fun part in the Ice museum is the ice slide! No matter how old you are, go down the slide & have fun!!!
(Wise words by farahanis)
DAY 7
My last day in South Korea
I gave up on visiting the JYP building since Taecyeon was not even in Korea at that time hahaha. 2PM busy betul :') In the morning, we went back to Dongdaemun Fabric Market. Shopping for my grandmas :D Other than fabrics, they also sell accessories & brooches on different floor.
As our flight was around 425 p.m, we went back to our apartment at noon, pack our belongings and went to the airport. Leaving Korea feels so surreal! Theres so many places I still wish to visit. How I wish we can stay here for a few more days or weeks XD Anyway, I saw kimfad (without kim) (fad je lah lol) at the airport but I was not that sure so I just stared at her blankly but not in a creepy way XD I checked fad's instagram to confirm if it was really her lol - Wifi dekat airport laju best gila hahahaha.
SO THAT COMPLETES MY 7 DAY TRIP TO SOUTH KOREA
If you managed to read it until here, I just want to say thank you so much! Have a great day ![]() 서울에 다시 가고 싶어요 ㅠㅠㅠ |
