Xin chào! Tôi Là Farah :D
Hello! My name is Farah :D

Lol hi! So I went to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam like a week ago with of course my family& my mom's officemates. First and for most, I'm going to tell you a not-so-secret. Vietnam= shopping! (and a little bit off sightseeing XD) Here is my tips! Bring another bag/Only fill half of your luggage bag because you will probably shop A LOT! Or you can just buy another luggage bag there hahaha. Not to forget, hotel location is very important (according to my tour guide) & always always always bargain when shopping for things!

I stayed in Golden Central Hotel, Saigon, just a walking distance to Benthanh Market & Night Market. I suggest staying at a hotel near Benthanh Market to make your shopping easier XD I stayed in Vietnam for 4 days and yes, every night I went to night market Ho Chi Minh.

On the first day of my visit to Vietnam, we went to this bungalow-shop where they sell plenty of nice, pretty and cheap baju kurung, jubah, blouse and even baju melayu! There's wifi so men,no need to worry haha. After that we went to the War Remnants Museum. And straight to the hotel for some rest before heading out for dinner. To my surprise, motorcyclesSSsSs are everywhere. Literally! They will not stop when you want to cross the road,so you just have to cross it,they will probably avoid you (i guess XD) If you wait, you will never ever get to cross the road! (Wise word from my tour guide lol)

yes, motorcycles
That night, we went to night market Ho Chi Minh to survey first rather than shopping because we wanted to compare the price first. Buying things from the night market is easy because most of them can speak malay and always go like "Kakak, mulah kakak~ Tengok lulu" (Kakak, murah kakak~ Tengok dulu) plus we can buy the things using Vietnam Dong, Malaysian Ringgit or US Dollar. But once you touch their stuff, they will probably let you go after you buy it XD Only some of them are like that. I drank 2 glass of kopi susu/halal coffee. Very kaw kaw! One from the restaurant and one from the motorcycle-halal coffee.

The next day, we went to Mekong River yay! Rode a boat as well as sampan. I enjoyed it very much! I also got the chance to see how they manually makes this coconut-flavoured candy. So cool~ because they were like real machines! My sister wanted to try and cut the candy thing but the workers do not speak bahasa. I was trying to ask them in Vietnamese (since i learned a little bit of it before going there) whether they can speak English or not to help my sister but they understand nothing HAHAHAHAHA. I guess my pronounciation was horrible XD So i tried asking my tour guide if she could actually understands me, and she kind of did. I was like "YOU UNDERSTANDS ME?!" and she said "Yeah, but I need to think hard" lol. Also get to taste honey-lemon-tea & honey! The special thing is that, we put our finger in the bee hive and taste the honey on our finger. How cool~

Next stop, Vietnam Silk House (i think that's what it is called), where you can find different kinds of fabric, baju kurung, telekung and all stuff that is related to it. Of course, at night all of us went for a round of shopping at the night market and came back to the hotel with hands full!

A day at Mekong River

On the third day, we went shopping at TAKA Plaza and some shops on the same row of it. But things there were more expensive compared to the ones in Benthanh. The next stop was Saigon Square. Its like a local shopping mall for vietnamese people so we could not bargain much. Everyone was tired already so we decided to go back to the hotel. My mom,my sister and I decided to go to Benthanh Market and lepak for some coffee. I SWEAR VIETNAMESE COFFEE IS VERY SOMETHING. We went to Phuc Long Cafe and enjoyed our so called coffee time. You can taste the caramel very well. The chocolate one was also very delicious. It really is way better than starbucks ;____; For dinner, I finally get to eat Pho!!! It tastes like mee soto i think.

One of the best yoghurt i've ever tasted. @hotel

*DRUM ROLLS* THE SO LONG-AWAITED PHO

My family & I spent our last day in Ho Chi Minh City by going to Benthanh Market for the last time (lol) and of course drinking coffees XD We went to Trung Nguyen Cafe which is the most famous one i think because its everywhere! The cafe was big and pretty and the waiter is very nice, and the coffee is delicious!

Till then, bye!
